Doing some long tunic layering with knit piece from Anthropologie. I was drawn to the colors of this tunic when I chose it for my second Nuuly box.

Tami Sleeveless Knit Tunic
I am not going to lie. I find this piece to be a little tricky to style. On Anthropologie’s site, they style it with wide led cropped pants. Unfortunately, that style of pants makes me look stumpy. I need to add length to my legs! Skinny jeans was my choice of bottoms. What I struggle with when it comes to this top is that it’s very clingy and doesn’t really define my waist. I tried to add a belt but it was too fitted for it to work. It was a good thing that this was a rental piece and not an item that I bought.
This tunic came at a time when the weather was still warm so I did wear it without anything underneath. (I prefer it this way.) The long sleeved tee was a way to take it from end of the summer to fall.
What are your thoughts on this tunic? I am giving a thumbs down on this look. I just didn’t feel comfortable wearing it because of how my shape looked. How would you style it?

I can see how it’d be tricky, but at least you tried it. I bet if it was in your closet, you’d find some other ways. Like with a skirt under it??

That’s a great suggestion Jodie! Have a terrific weekend!
I have to say I think this turned out really nice. I think it makes you look long. But I would imagine it is more comfortable worn by itself. I think it looks good!

I bought a tunic that length a few years ago and struggled for the same reason! It was ok with skinny jeans but I just didn’t love it. And the slits were too high to wear as a dress. I ended up sewing up the slits to wear as a dress instead. I wonder how it would be with flare jeans?
I like the flared jeans idea Laura! Have a wonderful weekend!
Gorgeous post Hun, I love this look so much – so perfect for fall! x

I just adore this tunic from Anthropologie! It looks warm, I like the different colors in it and the split on the side. I really love it with the skinnies, but I can see how it would be a more challenging piece to style.

This is definitely a touch piece to style. I would have paired it with all black – black leggings underneath!

Even though you’re not crazy about this look, I think it turned out nicely. I do love the multi colour of the tunic and pairs perfectly with your denim. However, I completely understand where you’re coming from. I find it so annoying when brands don’t chose the right material and the weight isn’t heavy enough for it to drape the body beautifully. It just limits the style options.
Hope you’re having a fabulous weekend!

Tunics can be hard to style but I think you did a great job! The colors in it are really pretty. But you definitely shouldn’t keep something you don’t feel comfortable wearing.

I am with you on this one…it is not my favorite. I had a few tunics like this as well and I got rid of all of them because they were so difficult to style. They were too heavy to wear in warm weather but being sleeveless they needed something layered to keep warm. And nothing ever seemed to work. I tried belting and wearing them over leggings, skirts, skinny jeans, flared pants, everything. But like Jodie said, at least you gave it a try! It’s not terrible just definitely not my favorite outfit of yours. And thanks for sharing an outfit that you think didn’t turn out great! It’s nice to keep it real!
